Taking care of your cap:

I use the traditional knitting technique to create the Monmouth Caps as accurately and authentically as possible.

I felt the caps carefully to provide the waterproof characteristic in the medieval caps (Archer used to keep their bow-string under the cap to protect it from the rain)

As the stitch patterns using modern knitting yarn may result in a narrow cap after felting, I recommend wetting the cap carefully (not too much) and wearing it for a couple of hours in this state. (Please do not go outside if the weather is cold with your cap wet.)

The cap will reshape to the form of your head and will be very comfortable after.
